First video is the obligatory loading backups and playing online video. Which in itself is convincing, the video does skip over the PSN store quite quickly though so its possible there may be some unknown problems there to come.

Another video of interest is a little older but the principle shown in the video stay true regardless of what firmware version is required.  Simply spoofing the PS3's firmware version can get any PS3 online and access to PSN and possibly the store.  At the very least this method will give ways of syncing trophies and re activating perviously purchased store content.
